Lieutenant Colonel (Infantry) Boschen distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with the 353d Infantry, American Expeditionary Forces, in action near Boullionville, France, 12 September 1918, while directing the movement of troops which resulted in the capture of many prisoners.
