While serving with the Medical Detachment, 9th Machine Gun Battalion, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, these two soldiers, notwithstanding heavy artillery and machine gun fire, were tireless in rendering aid to their wounded comrades, not only from their own organization but from Infantry as well.
