No. 43, W.D., 1918), Private First Class Coy Coleman (ASN: 1872059), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Private First Class Coleman distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with Company L, 371st Infantry Regiment, 93d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, in action near Ardeull, France, 30 September 1918, in setting up his automatic in an open field and killing three of the enemy.
