Brandenburg (ASN: 145402), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Supply Sergeant Brandenburg distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with Battery B, 151st Field Artillery, American Expeditionary Forces, in action 17 March 1918, in voluntarily going for medical aid through a heavy artillery bombardment.
