The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, 20 July 1942, takes pleasure in presenting a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Legion of Merit to Colonel Harold D. Shrader, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States from November 1950 to June 1960. [This award supersedes so much of General Orders Number 119, Headquarters Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, dated 8 August 1958, as pertains to the previous award of the Army Commendation Medal to Colonel Shrader for meritorious service during the period 9 December 1956 to 15 August 1958.]
