(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Major (Air Corps) Blair M. Sorensen (ASN: 0-393159), United States Army Air Forces, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while serving with the *** Bombardment Group, TENTH Air Force. Major Sorensen has, during the period 29 October 1942 to 7 April 1943, participated in combat missions totaling more than 200 hours. These flights in which he has flown from bases in India and China, far over enemy territory, have been eminently successful. By his diligent attention to duty and the superior execution of his assignment he has contributed much to the success of many missions. The operations in which he has flown constitute acts of extraordinary achievement in aerial flight and reflect the highest credit on the military forces of the United States.

Sorensen (ASN: 0-393159), United States Army Air Forces, for gallantry in action against the enemy while serving as Pilot of a Bomber in the TENTH Air Force, in aerial operations in the China-Burma-India Theater of Operations, in 1942. The gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty demonstrated by Captain Sorensen, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army Air Forces.
