(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Colonel (Signal Corps) Emmett Robinson Reynolds (ASN: 0-25489), United States Army, was awarded a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as DJ6, Headquarters, Military Assistance Command, Vietnam, in the Republic of Vietnam, from 1967 to 1968.

The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, 20 July 1942, takes pleasure in presenting the Legion of Merit to Colonel (Signal Corps) Emmett Robinson Reynolds (ASN: 0-25489), United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States with the Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from June 1960 to June 1963. [This award supersedes award of the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious achievement from 11 to 29 September 1961, as announced in General Orders Number 5, Department of the Army, dated 9 February 1962.]
