(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Brigadier General James Oliver Frankosky, United States Air Force, was awarded the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States as Deputy Director for Strategic and Defense Forces in the Directorate of Operational Requirements and Development Plans, Deputy Chief of Staff, Research and Development, Headquarters, U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C.,, and subsequently as Deputy Director of Operational Requirements, from 1967 to 1970. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of General Frankosky and his dedicated contributions in the service of his country reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
