The President of the United States of America, authorized by Executive Order 11046, 24 August 1962, takes pleasure in presenting the Bronze Star to Captain Kent L. Christopher, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious service from 24 January 2007 to 23 January 2008 while deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM as Senior Logistics Mentor for the Afghanistan Border Police, Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan. His leadership had a profound impact on the future of Afghan National Police Forces and specifically on readiness and effectiveness of the Afghan Border Police. He eliminated multiple logistics issues affecting deployed Border Police units. His competence, dedication and technical skills greatly enhanced the unit’s operations. His performance of duty in a combat zone reflects great credit upon himself, the Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan, the United States Central Command, and the United States Army.
