The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Airman’s Medal to Sergeant Jesse F. Reynolds, United States Air Force, for heroism involving voluntary risk of life at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, on 14 March 1974. On that date, Sergeant Reynolds rushed to the aid of a co-worker who had come in contact with high voltage connections. With complete disregard for his own safety, and despite the hazard of high voltage, Sergeant Reynolds unhesitatingly pulled his co-worker to safety and immediately began cardiac massage saving the life of his co-worker. By his courageous action and humanitarian regard for his fellow man, Sergeant Reynolds has reflected great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
