Kenneth Strother graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Class of 1924. He retired as a U.S. Army Colonel. His younger brother Kenneth also graduated from West Point, earned a Silver Star as a fighter pilot in World War II, and retired as a four-star general. His other younger brother Donald Strother was killed in action las a bomber pilot in the Pacific and was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross.
