The Secretary of the Army of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Army Commendation Medal with Combat “V” to Specialist Brian J. Palizano, United States Army, for gallantry and valor in combat at LSA ANACONDA on 16 June 2004 in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. Specialist Palizano demonstrated courage and initiative during an enemy rocket attack under fire, and without regard for his own safety, Specialist Palizano provided medical aid that saved the lives of critically wounded soldiers. His actions are in keeping with the highest traditions of military service. Specialist Palizano’s actions bring great credit upon him, the TOMAHAWK Battalion, the ARROWHEAD Brigade, and the United States Army.
