The President of the United States of America, authorized by Executive Order 11046, 24 August 1962, takes pleasure in presenting the Bronze Star Medal with Combat “V” to Staff Sergeant Neil D. Lynch, United States Army, for exceptionally valorous achievement from 29 to 31 March 2012 while assigned as a Sniper Section Non-commissioned Officer-in-Charge. Staff Sergeant Lynch’s decisive actions and dedication to never leave a fallen comrade greatly contributed to the effectiveness of the unit’s mission. His actions greatly reflect distinct credit upon himself, Task Force FURTY, Regional Command South, and the United States Army.
