The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, 20 July 1942, takes pleasure in presenting the Legion of Merit to Major (Quartermaster Corps) Stephen Waterman, III (ASN: 0-73006), United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States while serving with the 266th Supply and Service Battalion, 29th General Support Group, United States Army Support Command, Saigon, 1st Logistical Command, in the Republic of Vietnam from July 1968 to July 1969.
