The President of the United States of America takes pride in presenting the Silver Star (Posthumously) to First Lieutenant (Infantry) Howard Charles Katz (ASN: 0-462276), United States Army, for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in connection with military operations against the enemy while serving with the 10th Armored Infantry Battalion, 4th Armored Division, at Guebling, France, on 14 November 1944.
