Private Barbour, along with eight other enlisted men and one officer, attacked an infantry column halted along the road. With utter disregard for personal safety, Private Barbour and his group caused disorganization and confusion in the enemy column, delaying its movement into ****. His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
