    The President of the United States of America, authorized by Executive Order 11046, 24 August 1962, takes pleasure in presenting the Bronze Star Medal to Technical Sergeant Martin E. Gish, United States Air Force, for meritorious service as Noncommissioned Officer-in-Charge, Document Control Section, Item Accounting Branch, 366th Supply Squadron, while engaged in ground operations against an opposing armed force at DaNang Airfield, Republic of Vietnam from 16 January 1971 to 15 January 1972. During this period, Sergeant Gish’s outstanding professional skill, exceptional initiative, leadership, and devotion to duty aided immeasurably in providing effective supply support which directly contributed to the successful mission accomplishment of the 366th Tactical Fighter Wing. The exemplary leadership, personal endeavors and devotion to duty displayed by Sergeant Gish in this responsible position reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
