The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to Technical Sergeant Julius S. Dobrzynski, United States Army, for gallantry in action while serving with the Bomb Disposal Squad, 9th Army, in action against the enemy in Germany, on 17 February 1945. When summoned to the scene of a burning ammunition truck and trailer, Technical Sergeant Dobrzynski immediately and without regard for his personal safety, proceeded to remove the ammunition. By his heroic action the flow of vital military traffic was resumed. His courage and devotion to duty in the face of extreme danger reflect great credit upon himself and uphold the highest traditions of the Military Service of the United States.
