Bubier (MCSN: 187419), United States Marine Corps, for distinguished service in the line of his profession as one of the leading aviation mechanics of the Byrd Antarctic Expedition I (1928 – 1930). Gunnery Sergeant Bubier through efficiency, exceptional skill, zeal and energy in preparation for the many flights under the most trying conditions, contributed greatly to the success of the expedition.
