    The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy Cross to Private Lambert Bos (MCSN: 86265), United States Marine Corps, for extraordinary heroism while serving with the 78th Company, 6th Regiment (Marines), 2d Division, A.E.F. in action near Blanc Mont Ridge, France, 3 October 1918. Private Bos, with two other volunteers, flanked a machine-gun nest and, after one of his comrades had been wounded, captured fourteen men and two machine guns. Later, he aided in the capture of forty other prisoners in a dugout.
