Cobb, United States Air Force, for heroism involving voluntary risk of life at Hahn Air Base, Germany, on 2 June 1981. On that date Sergeant Cobb voluntarily entered Central Security Control where an individual had taken over the building at gunpoint. The individual had the knowledge of direct access to over 30 automatic weapons. Sergeant Cobb proceeded to convince the individual to surrender his weapon and placed him in custody.
