The President of the United States of America, authorized by Executive Order 11046, 24 August 1962, takes pleasure in presenting the Bronze Star Medal to Captain Michael J. Fucci, United States Army, for meritorious service in support of military operations against a hostile force from 11 October 1990 to 20 March 1991. Captain Fucci displayed exemplary professionalism and initiative in the effectiveness of the United States and Allied effort against a tenacious enemy. Despite many adversities associated with a combat environment, he served in a resolute manner. Captain Fucci’s loyalty, diligence and selfless service are in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect utmost credit on him and the United States Army.
