No. 43, W.D., 1918), Bugler Jerry Turner (ASN: 2338082), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the World War I Victory Medals awarded him. While serving with Company B, 4th Infantry Regiment, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, on 23 July 1918, near Les Franquettes Farm, Bugler Turner stayed in an open field swept by very heavy machine gun fire and rendered first aid to three wounded men.
