No. 43, W.D., 1918), Private Harry Sturgis (ASN: 2040615), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Private Sturgis distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with Company C, 107th Infantry, American Expeditionary Forces, in action near Ronssoy, France, 29 September 1918, while advancing to destroy an enemy Very light post a few minutes prior to the attack.
