Stroschin (ASN: 2303318), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Private First Class Stroschin distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with the Medical Detachment, 120th Field Artillery, American Expeditionary Forces, in action near Epinonville, France, 7 October 1918, in assisting in carrying his wounded battery commander to a place of safety under heavy shell fire.
