Reeves (ASN: 1459935), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Private Reeves distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with Company B, 140th Infantry Regiment, 35th Division, American Expeditionary Forces, in action near Charpentry, France, 26 September 1918, while advancing with his platoon after being wounded by a machine-gun bullet.
