Lindwurm (ASN: 2114335), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Private First Class Lindwurm distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with Battery B, 119th Field Artillery Regiment, 32d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, in action on 29 September 1918, near Nantillois, north of Montfaucon, Meuse-Argonne Offensive, France, in giving aid to the wounded, and helping to quiet the frightened horses, which had become unmanageable under heavy enemy fire.
