No. 43, W.D., 1918), Private George Heriot (ASN: 2392), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Private Heriot distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with Medical Department, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Division, American Expeditionary Forces, in action near Fleville, France, 6 October 1918, while assisting in the evacuation of the wounded under enemy fire.
