Cereghino (ASN; 2259371), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Color Sergeant Cereghino distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with Headquarters Company, 362d Infantry Regiment, American Expeditionary Forces, in action near Gesnes, France, 29 September 1918, in carrying an important message through heavy machine gun and artillery fire.
