The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pride in presenting the Silver Star (Posthumously) to Second Lieutenant (Infantry) Cody G. Robertson (ASN: 0-463321), United States Army, for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in connection with military operations against the enemy while serving with the 39th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division, on 23 April 1943 in the area of **** and ****, Tunisia. During an enemy counterattack, Lieutenant Robertson deployed his men and moved them forward to close with the enemy.
