The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Senior Sergeant Vitalii Onufriyevich Polyakov, Army of the U.S.S.R., for meritorious and distinguished service rendered against our common enemy, Germany, in World War II. Senior Sergeant Polyakov’s outstanding accomplishments and zealous devotion to duty exemplify the highest traditions of the Armed Forces of the Allied Nations.
