The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pride in presenting the Silver Star (Posthumously) to Robert Jensen, Danish Civilian, for gallantry in action during the period March 1944 to July 1944. Mr. Jensen organized and maintained a maritime escape and supply route in Scandinavia, carrying out many gallant, self-imposed missions at great risk to his life and that of his family until he was apprehended and killed by the Gestapo. At the cost of his life, Mr. Jensen rendered outstanding services to the Danish resistance movement and the Allied war effort.
