(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to Lieutenant Jean Del Marmol, Belgian Army, for gallantry in action during World War II. Lieutenant Del Marmol was largely responsible for coordinating the action of the Belgian Secret Army with that of the civilian resistance groups and thus insured an intelligent unity of effort.
