During this action he was wounded in the thigh, but after he received first aid he refused to be evacuated and returned to his unit. By his personal bravery he encouraged his men to repel the enemy attack. In a later action he was wounded twice but despite his three wounds refused to be evacuated. The extraordinary heroism displayed by Captain Weston on this occasion reflects the greatest credit on himself and is in keeping with the high traditions of the military service.
