Donohue (ASN: 6908809), United States Army, for gallantry in action while serving with the 1st Infantry Division, in action against the enemy in North Africa and Sicily in 1943. Sergeant Donohue fearlessly proceeded over terrain swept by intense enemy machine gun and mortar fire, silenced a number of the enemy, And successfully established a forward observation post. He then radioed information which enabled effective artillery fire to be directed on advancing forces.
