Brigadier General Vincente Lim, Philippine Army, was captured by Japanese after the fall of Bataan, survived the Death March and was admitted to the Philippine General Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in fighting. He was subsequently released by the Japanese in 1942. (NOTE: As a member of the Philippine Army, General Lim is not authorized the POW Medal.)

    Brigadier General Vincente Lim, Philippine Army, was captured by Japanese forces in 1944 while operating as commander of Philippine Guerillas in the Philippine Islands, and was held as a Prisoner of War until his execution while still in captivity, on or about 31 December 1944. (NOTE: As a member of the Philippine Army, General Lim is not authorized the POW Medal.)
