(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to Captain (Infantry) Albert G. Kudzia, United States Army, for gallantry in action while serving with the 36th Infantry Division, in action against the enemy near the Southern Coast of France on 21 August 1944. Captain Kudzia knocked out two enemy machine gun nests. The gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty demonstrated by Captain Kudzia, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.

Captain Kudzia assumed command of a battalion when it became disorganized during a night attack and led it in battle. The gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty demonstrated by Captain (Infantry) Kudzia, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
