(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Soldier Second Class Youssef Berriah, Army of France, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy while serving with the Regiment of Tirailleurs, French Army, in action against enemy forces in Tunisia, North Africa, on 9 January 1943. Soldier Second Class Berriah’s outstanding accomplishments, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty exemplify the highest traditions of the Armed Forces of the Allied Nations.
