(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Technical Sergeant Nathan Scavuzzo (ASN: 20228416), United States Army, was awarded a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Distinguished Service Cross (Posthumously) for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy while serving with Company E, 2d Battalion, 71st Infantry Regiment, 44th Infantry Division, in action against enemy forces in the vicinity of Rimling, France, on 3 March 1945. Technical Sergeant Scavuzzo’s extraordinary heroism, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty at the cost of his life, exemplify the highest traditions of the military forces of the United States and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
