On that date Captain Robbins was in a flight of 20 Lightning Fighter Planes that encountered 15 Japanese Zeros. Captain Robbins dove two enemy planes off the tail of one of his comrades, despite the fact hat while doing so his own plane was the target of two other Japanese fighters. The gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty demonstrated by Captain Robbins, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army Air Forces.
