Robert Murphy was captured during the Korean War and interned as a Prisoner of War. He was forced to march to North Korea on the “Tiger Death March”, and died at An-Dong, North Korea on May 25, 1951. His remains were not recovered.

    Private First Class Robert Mervin Murphy (ASN: RA-13299180), United States Army, was held as a Prisoner of War after he was captured on 20 July 1950 during the Korean War. He was unaccounted for after the war and is presumed to have died or been killed while in captivity.
