(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Colonel (Infantry) Donald Clinton Clayman (ASN: 0-20866), United States Army, was awarded a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Silver Star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against an armed enemy while serving as Commanding Officer, 346th Infantry Regiment, 87th Infantry Division, in action against the enemy during World War II . Colonel Clayman’s outstanding gallantry and devotion to duty are in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflects great credit upon himself, the 87th Infantry Division, and the United States Army.
