(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Colonel (Infantry) Donald Clinton Clayman (ASN: 0-20866), United States Army, was awarded the Silver Star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against an armed enemy while serving as Commanding Officer, 3d Battalion, 47th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division, in action against the enemy during World War II. Lieutenant Colonel Clayman’s outstanding gallantry and devotion to duty are in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflects great credit upon himself, the 9th Infantry Division, and the United States Army.
