Watson (ASN: 31069148), United States Army, for heroism not involving actual conflict with an enemy of the United States while serving with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, in action in the vicinity of Kicata, Sicily, on 23 September 1943. The exemplary courage and heroism displayed by Private First Class Watson reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
