(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Hospitalman Apprentice First Class Kenneth W. Mullins, United States Navy, was awarded the Silver Star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy while serving as a Corpsman attached to as Marine Battalion of the SIXTH Marine Division, in action at Okinawa, in the Ruykyu Islands, on 6 June 1945. His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Naval Service.
