(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Hospitalman Apprentice First Class Lee Roy Farrell, United States Navy, was awarded the Silver Star (Posthumously) for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity from 21 July 1944 to 1 August 1944, while serving as a Corpsman attached to a Marine Rifle Platoon of the THIRD Marine Division, at Guam. His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Naval Service.
