The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Bronze Star Medal to Lieutenant Judson Charles Doyle (NSN: 0-123708), United States Navy, for meritorious service in connection with operations against the enemy while serving as Evaluator in the Combat Information Center of the Destroyer U.S.S. DALY (DD-519), in the vicinity of Okinawa, from 27 March 1945 to 28 April 1945. When his ship furnished fire support to our troops ashore, his outstanding initiative and ability contributed greatly to the destruction of enemy installations. During a period of hazardous and arduous duty on Radar Picket Station, his skillful evaluation of enemy tactics enabled his ship to withstand a highly coordinated Japanese suicide attack and destroy five enemy planes. His devotion to duty was in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
