    (Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Angus Campbell, United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary heroism while participating in aerial flight, while serving as Pilot of an airplane in Patrol Squadron ONE HUNDRED ONE (VP-101), Patrol Wing TEN (Patwing-10), in action against enemy Japanese naval forces, for his performance during the Japanese attack on Jolo, Philippine Islands on 17 January 1942, and for heroism while conducting a successful, and extremely hazardous, reconnaissance patrol on 28 February 1942.
