The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Soldier’s Medal to Private Gilbert P. Anderson (ASN: 36237703), United States Army Air Forces, for heroism at the risk of life not involving conflict with an armed enemy at a Bomber Station in England, on 20 December 1943. The exemplary courage and heroism displayed by Private Anderson, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army Air Forces.
