The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Distinguished Flying Cross to First Lieutenant Woodrow W. Brown (ASN: 0-1180132), United States Army, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a member of the 24th Infantry Division Artillery, in action against enemy aggressor forces in Korea during the period from 31 July to 24 September 1950. His outstanding courage and dedication to duty were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army.
